SISTER CHAIN TRI TEAM
As the Men's Chain Tri Team has proved to promote the sport of triathlon and operate successfully, there was a need to bring balance to the sport along the Gulf Coast. In 2017, the Women's Gulf Coast Tri Team (WGCTT) was established and branded as Sister Chain. This team is composed of elite female triathletes along the Gulf Coast.
The Women's Sister Chain will function similarly to the Men's team; they look to grow the team and be active in promoting the sport of triathlon. The members serve as ambassadors of the sport by serving as positive role models for fellow athletes, spectators, and race directors. To further promote the common charity efforts, the women will also support and promote the Bike and Tri Charity Initiative through Pillars of Promise in conjuntion with the Men's Chain Tri Team.
