The Brett Robinson Alabama Coastal Olympic Triathlon (Gulf Shores, AL), hosted by Team Magic, was the only Olympic distance triathlon on the schedule for 2013 but that did not prevent strong performances! Let it be noted though, that the baking sun brought scorching temperatures and made the run segment really... really hot. See you October 5th! The Gulf Coast Tri Team raced in the Sandestin Triathlon yesterday during it's 27th year. The men had a great race overall after having a few months off since their last team race, Fairhope's Grandman Triathlon. It seems that no one has let the summer heat stop them from training! The team placed all 10 racers in the top 24, and 5 out of the top 10! A big congrats to our top finisher, who is on a roll lately, Allen Stanfield! Full results can be found here. Of our team races, this was the first warm one of the year. The heat and humidity were worst during the run but the team pushed through it and placed 5 out of the top 10 overall racers. Congrats to our fastest finishers Allen Stanfield, and Logan Roberts who were able to reach the podium placing 2nd and 3rd (respectively) overall. The team battled yet another cold race morning to put up their fastest times. Just like the Traditions Tri two weeks prior, the Gulf Coast Tri Team put 7 racers in the top 10!
