Azalea Trail Run 2016

This weekend the Gulf Coast Tri Team ran the Azalea Trail Run 10k. This was the first time the triathlon team slotted a run-only event on the race calendar. The looming storms held off and made for a great event to kick off the season. Congrats to all the guys who raced - all landing in the top 95 of more than 1600 finishers. Looking forward to starting the tri season in a few weeks!

Race Summary - Grandman Triathlon 2015

The team had their strongest performance of the year yesterday at the 2015 Grandman Triathlon in beautiful Fairhope, AL. The weather was perfect making for a great day to race. Sam Hudson had the fastest overall swim and bike split on the day leaving the field in the dust he secured his 1st place overall finish. Great job Sam! Allen Stanfield had a great and finished 2nd overall. Eric Larson had the fastest overall run split on the day which helped place him 3rd overall on the day. The team placed 9 in the top 10 and 14 in the top 20 spots.

Red Hills Tri 2015 - Race Summary

Yesterday the Gulf Coast Tri Team kicked off their season with the 2015 Red Hills Triathlon in Tallahassee, Florida. The guys were up against some top notch competition but still managed bring home a lot of hardware. Our thoughts and prayers are with a competitor that was hit by a vehicle while on his bike - we wish that you heal quickly and make a full recovery.

Santa Rosa Island Triathlon - 10/4/2014

The Gulf Coast Tri Team raced in their final team triathlon of the season this weekend at the Santa Rosa Island Triathlon. This is the largest local race the team schedules each year and competition is tough! Ending the season with a strong showing was the teams goal and the guys definitely pulled it off.

GCTT IRONMAN Weekend 2014

Congrats to our 3 Gulf Coast Tri Team members who raced this weekend at Ironman Chattanooga and Ironman Augusta. Our team focuses on shorter races but occasionally a few brave souls volunteer to race with big boys.

Allen Stanfield and Chad Hon both completed IM CHOO 42nd AG and 5th AG, respectively!
Jared Moore completed Half IM Augusta with a 1st place AG and 13 Overall finish!

Brett Robinson AL Coastal Triathlon - 9/6/2014

This weekend was the AL Coastal Triathlon for the GCTT. The guys did extremely well in a race that always brings the heat, literally. Congrats to Eric Larson on his overall win! Here is how the guys finished:

Joey Pocreva: 48th at USAT Junior Nationals

Congrats to one of our younger Gulf Coast Tri Team members, Joey Pocreva, on his finish today (8/2/14) at USAT Junior National Championships in a time of 01:01:27.77. It was a very competitive race this year but beware to his competition - the young man still has 2 more years to race in the 16-19 age group!

Grandman 2014 - 5/31/2014

Another awesome race in the books for the Gulf Coast Tri Team and another 1st place overall for Eric! The team had 9 of the top 15 spots in a really competitive race this year. Great job to everyone!
